Wildflower Walk: Mother's Day Event at Wildhorse Windfarm

In Partnership with Puget Sound Energy’s Wildhorse Windfarm, we present a Mother’s Day Event and we’ll be part of it!  This year take your mother to see the flowers!  We will be leading wildflower walks through the shrub steppe of the Wildhorse Windfarm near Vantage.  This is a unique opportunity to see higher elevation flowers, of which this area has in abundance.  The tiny pink and yellow Thyme Leaf Buckwheat should be in bloom, as well as yellow desert parsley, Blue Prairie Lupine and Blue Bells.  Afterwards, the Windfarm will provide refreshments for mothers and families alike.  This is going to be fun event.  Please come join us for Mother’s Day.

Meet: 8:30 a.m. at Van Giesen Park and Ride. Dress appropriate for the weather, bring drinks, lunches, and don’t forget your cameras.  Please contact trip leader Leaders:  Ernie Crediford & Terri Knoke at ernest_crediford@live.com if you plan on attending.  A head count is required for the Wildhorse Windfarm event organizers.
