NATIVE PLANT AWARENESS DAY AT THE MCNARY NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

In partnership with the Friends of the Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges, we present Native Plant Awareness Day. There will plenty of activities for children and adults alike.  We will be offering guided wildflower walks of the “Two Sisters” as well as presenting talks on butterflies and wildflowers.  Throughout the event there will be children’s crafts, nature walks, and microscopes for everyone to take a look into the amazing world of our shrub steppe plants and flowers.  Please mark your calendars for a fun day of exploration and appreciation of the jewels that our unique shrub steppe lays at our feet each spring.

Place:  McNary Wildlife Refuge, 64 Maple Street, Burbank, WA 99323, phone:  509-546-8300.  For more information contact Denise McInturff, Visitor Services, at denise_mcinturff@fws.gov.
